Child Crushed to Death.
There was sorrow in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fremont Anderson, living three-and-a-half miles north of Ossian, last Thursday. Their infant son Vincent while playing alone in the yard toddled up to a pile of wood and crawled between two logs, the upper one of which became dislodged and fell across his neck, pinning him down upon the under log, and crushing out his life. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. L. E. Lockard, of the M. E. church of this city officiating. Such an affliction as this is indeed hard to bear, and the stricken ones need all the kindly sympathy of their friends and neighbors in their hours of bereavement.
