June E. Holm, age 97, of Decorah, IA, died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Wellington Place in Decorah, Iowa.

Private Family Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, IA.

June Esther (Jacobson) Holm was born on April 3, 1923 in Waukon, Iowa, the only child of John and Clara (Kosbau) Jacobson. She was baptized on June 20, 1923 and was confirmed on March 21, 1937 at Zion Reformed Church in Waukon. She attended Waukon Schools and graduated from Waukon High School with the class of 1940. She then attended Waukon Junior College from 1940-1942 graduating with a teaching certificate. June was a rural schoolteacher in Allamakee County from 1942-1956. During that time, she renewed her teacher certificate at Luther College in 1947 and again in 1953. She then worked at the A.S. Conservation Office from 1957-1959.

June was united in marriage to Richard E. Holm on August 24, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, Minnesota. They were blessed with 2 daughters, Kristi Ann and Karen Marie.

June and Dick lived in Decorah after their marriage. She worked at Wapsie Produce for 5 years and then later at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1990.

She has been a member of Decorah Lutheran Church since 1959, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and was active in church circle and Decorah Lutheran Church Women. June enjoyed sewing, knitting, mostly mittens, going to auctions, refinishing furniture, and keeping in touch with her relatives, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard on January 1, 1980; and her granddaughter Heather Lambrecht on May 4, 1981. Her Faith has finally brought her home, where she can rest at last.

June is survived by her two daughters, Kristi Musolf of Winona, MN and Karen (Dale) Lambrecht of Rochester, MN; 5 grandchildren: Keri (Lambrecht) Hubbard, Kyle Musolf, Amanda Musolf, Dylan Lambrecht and Sammy Kouba; and 8 great-grandchildren: Kylie Lambrecht, Addysin Hubbard, Blake Hubbard, Jayden Finlayson, Chloe Hubbard, Derek Hubbard, Kyson Musolf, and Kamden Musolf.
