Another Soldier Dead.
Word was received in Calmar last week that Ole Evenson, who enlisted in Co. I, 49th Iowa, from that place, had died from fever in the hospital at Jacksonville. The remains were brought home for burial Monday last. We have no data concerning the young man.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born March 9, 1875 and died Oct. 21, 1898. He is buried in Calmar Lutheran Cemetery.
