—The deepest sorrow which may come to a home was visited upon Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Haakenson, Monday, when the silent messenger took away the life of their only child, a little daughter of two years. All the loving care which fond parents could bestow would not avail in keeping the little one. Only those who have passed through this affliction can truly sympathise with the grief-stricken parents. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Stub officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Inga who was born Oct. 27, 1895 and died April 18, 1898. She is buried in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
