Another soul has departed this life since this scribe wrote last. Daniel Borst, an old citizen of Frankville, honored and esteemed by all his neighbors, died at his daughter's, Mrs. Jas. Peck’s home, Monday, March 14th, 1898. He contracted a cold about three weeks ago and as lie was about 86 years of age had not the strength to throw it off. It weakened him so that he went into a decline and wasted away. He ate nothing for ten days before his death and he seemed to have an inward paralysis. His wife preceded him to the better land about ten years ago. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jas. Peck and Mrs. C. Wilson, to mourn for him. The fun¬eral will be Wednesday (to-morrow) at the Presbyterian church Rev. Phillips will officiate. The interment will be at the Pagin cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in Oct. 1811 but it shows he died March 21, 1898 which doesn’t agree with the above.
