Dr. McLaughlin hastened to Austin on the 11th inst. in response to a summons to the bedside of his father. Word has been received that his father died after the doctor’s arrival.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Philip who was born Dec. 6, 1834 and died March 4, 1898. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Austin, MN.
