Mrs. Tenold, wife of Ole P. Tenold, was stricken with paralysis on the 25th ult. and remained in a state of unconsciousness most of the time until the 1st inst. when she expired. Mrs. Tenold was in her 68th year and leaves surviving her, her husband and five children, the (latter being O. A. and Diana, of this place, John P. of Flandreau, S. D., Emily and Mrs. Peter Kittelsby, of Buffalo, N. Y. The children abroad were all summoned by telegraph soon after their mother was stricken, and all were at her bedside when she died. The funeral service and interment will take place at the Norwegian Lutheran Church and cemetery here this afternoon (Wednesday). Mrs. Tenold and her husband were among the early settlers of this township, and for many years resided on the farm between here and Conover, which Mr. Tenold still owns. She was a good woman, kind hearted, motherly, and to the husband and children left to mourn, their loss will be irreparable.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mari who was born Aug. 12, 1832 and that she is buried in Calmar Lutheran Cemetery.
