The Clear Lake Mirror of last week contained the following item relating in one who was favorably known in Burr Oak in former years.
Mrs. R, R. Wood died at her residence this morning shortly before seven o’clock. When the Elder got up at six o’clock Mrs. Wood was awake and when he went to call her for breakfast he found her in the same position but the soul had separated from the body Mrs. Wood had been an invalid for many years but there were no recent indications of such a sudden dissolution. The funeral will be at the house Saturday afternoon.
Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Albert Jones, of Mabel.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Sarah who was born June 11, 1827 and died Aug. 10, 1899. She is buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
