Death of John J. Grinnell.
Court attendants of a dozen years ago will remember J. J. Grinnell, the lame{?} court reporter. From an item in the last McGregor News we learn that he died lately in San Francisco, where he had lived for several years. Mr. Grinnell was the official shorthand reporter for Tehama, Shasta and Siskiyou counties for a number of years. He had ventured into other lines of business on a few occasions, but did not meet with the success his energies would expect.
