Married in 1886{?} to Miss Mary A. Burdick. three children—two boys and a daughter survive him. The pen that has so often written of the passing of others who have dropped out of life’s hard contest falters when the task comes home to one’s own heart-strings. We bid him good bye, desiring only to remember the day when he was the brave, manly boy; large hearted, generous, helpful and loving—the pride of his family and beloved of all the associates of his youth and early manhood Peace to his ashes.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet, MI; however, there is also a gravestone in Phelps Cemetery.
