DIED.
WILLETT—At the home of her parents in this city, Monday morning, Feb. 6th, MISS KATHERINE WILLETT, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. M. Willett, in her 13th year.
Katherine had been confined to the house for several days with the measles, but was recovering nicely and seemed as well as possible under the circumstances when the family retired Sunday evening. Her mother, who was sleeping with her, was awakened soon after midnight and found her laboring for breath and in an unconscious condition. Medical assistance was summoned at once but nothing could be done that would revive her and she passed away. The funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Lockard officiating.
Kate was a bright, loveable, Christian girl, with that happy disposition which wins friends among old and young alike, all of whom grieve with the parents in their sore affliction.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Phelps Cemetery shows she was born in 1886. It also shows her name was spelled Katheryn.
