An Old Resident Gone.
Mrs. Henry Brickner on Tuesday received intelligence of the death of her brother John T. Shank, a resident of Springfield, Mo., aged about 70 years. The event occurred on the 16th inst. During the years 1862 to 1865 Mr. S. lived In Decorah and followed his trade of carpenter. After leaving Decorah he returned to his native place in West Virginia, thence to Indiana, and finally to Springfield, Mo., where he has resided since 1881, For years he had been in the employ of the Frisco RR Co., and the Republican of that city says he was a model man and had the confidence and esteem of all who knew him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, MO, and that he was born July 6, 1830.
