Mrs. John Saunders Dead.
Many Decorians will sympathize deeply with John Saunders, of Calmar, in the affliction which has come to him. Yesterday morning his wife died at eight o'clock, after an illness from dropsy lasting nearly a year. Much of the time she has been able to be about, but during the past month has been confined to her bed. Mrs. Saunders is the daughter of Mrs. Diddams, of West Decorah, and had many friends here. She was a woman of excellent Christian character, a faithful wife and devoted mother.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Alice Sanders who was born Sept. 16, 1861.
