OBITUARY.
Mrs. Susannah Bailey died at the residence of her daughter. Mrs. D. T. Curtis, (where she had lived twelve years), 126 Ninth street. Oakland, Cal., March 3d, 1900, aged 84 years and 15 days.
Beloved mother also of Mrs. H. Callender, of San Francisco, and Mrs. J. C. Morgan, of Sioux Falls, S. D.
She was the daughter of Joseph Pagin and was born near Dayton, Ohio. Early in life she became a member of the Baptist church. In 184{?} Mrs. Bailey was wedded to Nathan Holloway of La Porte, Ind. At the time of her death she was the widow of Wesley Bailey, formerly editor of the DECORAH REPUBLICAN. Decorah, Iowa.
She was of an intensely religious nature and in her last illness expressed confident trust in God, her Savior. Just before closing her eyes in death she committed herself to Him in these words:— “Lord Jesus; Prince of Peace; Everlasting Father ” “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Yea saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labors and their works do follow them."

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, CA and was born Feb. 16, 1817.
