Mrs. M. M. Hathaway died at her residence in Freeport, Tuesday forenoon at the advanced age of nearly 87 years. She was the mother of C. E. Hathaway, one of the prominent business men of Ridgeway.

Transcriber’s Note: Freeport Cemetery records show she was born July, 1813 and died Feb. 13, 1900.
