Died at Waterloo
From the Waterloo Reporter of Monday last we clip the following:
Edith C. Jennish died this morning at the home of her brother, Will Jennish, 618 South street, aged 18 years and 7 months. She was born at Decorah, Iowa, in July, 1881 Her father died about two months prior to her birth and her mother when she was about two years of age. For a time she made her home with an uncle at Cresco and then with her brother at Charles City. In 1892 her brother moved to this city and she accompanied him. She was a student in the West Waterloo schools and a member of the class of 1900. For several months last year she clerked in the J. S. Glover dry goods store until her sickness compelled her to give up the work in last August. The disease developed into quick consumption which finally culminated in death this morning.
Edith was a bright and attractive girl, whose quiet, lady-like ways were the outward expression of graces of character and disposition that endeared her to all who knew her. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. The pall bearers will be chosen from her classmates in the West Waterloo high school.
The young lady referred to was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jennish.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Waterloo; however, it shows she died in 1908 which is probably because the gravestone is hard to read.
