Babe Smothered.

La Crosse, Jan. 15,—Henry Limpert, a farmer residing near Reno. (Houston, Co.) Minn., started, with his wife and 2-months-old baby girl, for town yesterday, where the baby was to be christenŽed. They went with some of the Milwaukee road section men on a handcar. The child was bundled up in several shawls, as the day was cold and stormy, and when they arrived at their destination they found the child dead, having been smothered. The parents were frantic with grief, and the mother nearly went insane.
