M. Ryan was called from his home at Mankato, Minn., last Friday by the the{sic} death of his brother Thomas, formerly of Calmer, but more recently of Tilden, Neb. Mr. Ryan and his sister, Mary Ryan of this place, went down to Calmar Saturday, to attend the funeral which took place Sunday morning. Mr. Ryan will visit a few days among Howard county relatives and friends before returning home.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in St. Aloysius Cemetery and was born in 1836.
