H. L. Coffeen, a former well known Decorah man, for eight years, principal of their public schools, passed away suddenly on Sept. 17th, at Dunleith, N. D.

Transcriber’s Note: Phelps Cemetery shows he is buried there and was born Aug. 22, 1842.
