Another Pioneer Gone.
Mrs. Christian Fisher died at her home in Fort Atkinson on the 5th inst., and from the Times we glean that she was 89 years old and had been a resident of Washington township since 1853. With her husband and family she came directly from Germany to Fort Atkinson, and for a short time they resided in one of the old Fort buildings. Her husband died in 1881, and one son and three daughters—to wit: Christian Fisher of Lawler, Mrs. Herzog, of Lyle, Minn., Mrs. Mary Cordis, of Aiken, Minn , and Mrs. Kate Fisher, of Spillville, survive her. She had been a member of the German Congregational church from early youth.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show this was Elizabeth and that she is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery and was born Oct. 18, 1812.
