Killed by the Cars.
Decorah relatives received word last week of the death of John Hoffoss, of Minneapolis, a son of Peter Hoffoss who will be remembered as a resident of Decorah for a number of years after 1868. Mr. Hoffoss was a freight conductor on the Soo line and was killed by a car falling on him Thursday. He was about forty years old and leaves a wife and two children.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Wadena County, MN and that he was born Sept. 23, 1863 and died Oct. 10, 1901.
