Mrs. Anna Grinde, for thirty-eight years a resident of this township, residing just west of Calmar, died at her home on the 7th inst. Mrs. Grinde was born in Sogn, Norway, on Nov. 1st, 1828, and had lived in America since 1863. She was married to Nels Grinde at Norway Grove, Wis., in 1858. Mrs. Grinde leaves surviving her on the old farm only two sons, her husband and four daughters all preceding her to “that undiscovered country.” Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church here and the body laid to rest among the old friends and early settlers at the Lutheran cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Calmar Lutheran Cemetery and that her husband’s name was spelled Nils.
