Henry Wonnenberg came to West Union in 1853, and opened his shop as a tailor, and thenceforward pursued an honest, industrious life. When his wife died in 1870 he struggled on and succeeded in raising a family of four small children. Everyone of whom, the Argo says, became an honor to the communities where they live. Mr. W. died on the 16th inst. in his 79th year. Such men become the “salt” of any community.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the West Union Cemetery and was born Jan. 19, 1823.
