Death of Mr. Luther Reed.
The friends and acquaintance of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Reed, of Burr Oak, were pained to learn yesterday that Mrs. Reed had died about 10:30 o’clock on the previous evening, after an illness of little more than one hour, from apoplexy. For some time past Mrs. Reed had been in unusally good health and was stricken after retiring for the night. All that medical aid could do was unavailing.
Mrs. Reed was born August 12th, 1858, at Waddam’s Grove, Stevenson county, Ill., and came to this county with her parents when very young. Her maiden name was Celia L. Kellam, and was married to Luther Reed, Jan. 1st, 1875. To these four children were born, two sons and two daughters, and these, with her husband, survive to mourn the loss of a loving and faithful wife and mother.
