Norton Deming died at the home of his daughter Kate, at Fort Atkinson, Friday, June 7th, and the funeral was held from the M. E. church at that place Sunday following, Rev. Platts officiating. Mr. Deming was for years a resident of this place, coming to this township in 1866, where he lived until a few years since, when he went to make his home with his daughter. Mr. Deming had many friends here as he was universally respected by all who knew him. We are not in possession of a biography.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone photo in Oak Hill Cemetery shows he was born Aug. 25, 1814 and died June 8, 1901.
