Recent Deaths.
J. C. Easton died at LaCrosse last Thursday evening, of heart failure, aged 78 years. Mr. Easton was a railroad builder, and promoted the Southern Minnesota Railroad, which he subsequently sold to the C., M & St. Paul Railway Company at a profit so large that it made him a director in the “Milwaukee” during the reign of Mitchell and Merrill, and finally a millionaire. He was a cousin of the Decorah Eastons.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCrosse and was born May 12, 1823 and died April 26, 1901.
