A Veteran Passes Away.
C. C. Linville, for many years a resident of West Decorah, and subsequently of Orleans township, died on Wednesday last week at his home in Cresco. He had reached the advanced age of 80 years and an attack of la grippe proved fatal. Mr Linville was a veteran of the War of the Rebellion— member of a Kansas cavalry regiment. His remains were brought to this city and buried Saturday by his comrades of the G. A. R. Mrs. Linville and several children survive him

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Phelps Cemetery and that he was born Sept. 20, 1820.
