OBITUARY.
John Baughman was born in Boone Co., Ky., Jan. 5, 1818, where he spent his boyhood days. He then went to Ohio, where he married Miss Elizabeth Bruce. To them a daughter was born Jan, 24, 1851, the mother dying Feb. 12th following. He was married again March 4, 1858, to Susannah Logsdon, and by this union one son and five daughters were, born. Mr. Baughman and his family came to Winnesheik Co., Iowa, in September, 1869, and settled near the Centennial church in Frankville township, where they continued to reside. His wife died May 10, 1889, and he has since lived with his daughter, Mrs. Burrows, until his death March 4, 1901. As the angel of death has severed our earthly ties he has taken a devoted husband, a loving parent, an esteemed friend and neighbor. Uncle John, as he is familiarly known, will be missed by both old and young of this community,
