Mrs. Michael Stoskopf died on the 5th inst., after an illness of three years, and was buried on the 7th in the Locust cemetery. Her maiden name was Loebstein and she was born in Germany, Sept. 11, 1829. She came to Canada at the age of sixteen and two years later was married to Michael Stoskopf. They came to Winnesheik county in 1866 and settled near Locust, where they spent the remainder of their days. Mr, Stoskopf died in December, 1899. Eleven children were born to them, seven boys and four girls, and all are living. Two sons and two daughters reside in Minneapolis, two sons in Kansas, and the remaining children in the vicinity of the parental home. The services were conducted by Rev Seehuus at St. John’s church, Locust, and were largely attended
