Death in Bluffton Township.
Peter Courtney died last Saturday at his home in Bluffton township after a brief illness which started with a severe cold. A week ago Sunday while the cold was at its worst he drove to Bluffton to church, and pneumonia followed, causing his death. The funeral was held Tuesday last at Bluffton and was largely attended, quite a number going out from Decorah to join in paying a last tribute to the dead. Mr. Courtney was unmarried, but is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone photo in St. Bridget’s Cemetery shows he was born Dec. 28, 1868 and died Feb. 2, 1901.
