John Vine was buried from his home in Madison township yesterday morning.
He was one of those who helped make “English Prairie,” as it was called, a distinct local settlement forty years ago. We have not as full particulars as to his life, as we would wish, for a proper obituary this week.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Union Prairie Cemetery and died January 21, 1901. His gravestone shows he was born in 1831.
