James H. Murray, 63, Dies in this City: was G. N. [Great Northern Railway] Brakeman
James H. Murray, 63, of 1510 Central Avenue and a resident of Great Falls since 1918 died Thursday afternoon at the family home. His death was due to heart trouble.
Mr. Murray came to Great Falls from Lankin, North Dakota. For many years he had been employed as a brakeman on the Great Northern Railroad. Surviving relatives are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. T. F. Jergenson and Mrs. Paul R. Luwe, both of Great Falls; four sons, Frank Murray of Los Angeles and James, George, Cecil Murray all of Great Falls; two brothers, Thomas Murray of Britt, Iowa and George Murray of St. Paul [Minnesota] and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Todd, of St. Paul. Mr. Murray was a member of the Great Falls Council, Knights of Columbus, Modern Woodman of America, and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. The body is at O’Connor Chapel, pending funeral arrangements.

Murray – the funeral of James H. Murray, of 1510 Central Avenue, will be held from the O’Connor Chapel at 8:45 Monday morning and at St. Ann’s Cathedral at 9 o’clock when holy mass will be celebrated. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
[Note: James H. Murray was living in Winneshiek County, Iowa in the 1870, 1880, and 1885 census, father, Thomas Murray, mother, Mary Healy]
