Death of I. S. Finney.
A letter received by Mrs. Wm Marlow of this city brings news of the death of an old neighbor of hers on Franklin Prairie, Mr. I. S. Finney. The Finney family came to this county in 1865, and remained here about thirty years. A considerable portion of the time he kept the Canoe post office at his residence, mostly for the convenience of his neighbors as well as himself. His death occurred at the home of his daughter Mrs. Minnie Adkins, in Wymore, Neb. She with her brother L. C. Finney, of Delta, Colo., alone survive him. His wife preceded him to the better land two years ago. Mrs. Marlow testifies that they were the best of neighbors and good Christian people. He was born in Essex Co., N. Y. in 1820.
