Death of Mrs. A. L. Himle.
Every one who knew Mrs. Andrew L. Himle will grieve with her husband and children and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Haugen, in her death which occurred Tuesday of this week in Minneapolis. For weary months she battled bravely and patiently with disease, hoping that she might be spared to the life and those about her she loved so well. When the end came it brought the relief that could be secured in no other way. The remains were brought to Decorah yesterday and the funeral will be held to-morrow (Friday) afternoon at the United Lutheran church at one o’clock. Rev. Rassmussen of Minneapolis will speak in English and Rev. Hougen in Norwegian, and interment will take place in the family cemetery near her parental home.
Inger Haugen was born May 1, 1857, in Decorah township, where she grew to womanhood. On July 6, 1880, she was married to Andrew L. Himle and with him went to Lac qui Parle Co., Minn. to make a home. For some years they lived in Minneapolis and then came to Decorah where they lived until about three years ago when they returned to Minneapolis. Four children—Mrs. Ella Koefod, Ernest, Paul and Harold—and their father survive to keep in loving remembrance a kind, affectionate and faithful mother and wife.
