Miss Clara Braaaten died last Friday evening at the home of her uncle, Sever Sandager, having been stricken with consumption last February. Clara was in her eighteenth year, and has lived with her uncle since she was three years old, at which time her mother died. She was a lovable girl, and well spoken of by all who knew her. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Lutheran church, Rev. Nelson conducting the service.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show she was born Jan. 8, 1885 and died Aug. 29, 1902.
