OBITUARY.
John Hallman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hallman of Freeport, died in a hospital in Milwaukee last week from what is known as athlete’s heart. A number of years ago, Mr. Hallman engaged in a bicycle race at which time he injured himself so that he never fully recovered therefrom. During the past two years he has suffered from typhoid fever and pneumonia. These left his system in such a weakened con¬ition that he succumbed to the more serious affliction of the heart. The remains were brought from Milwaukee Monday and the funeral took place at Freeport Tuesday morning. Mr. Hallman was formerly a member of the Decorah City Band and the members of that organization attended in a body.Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos shows he is buried in the Phelps Cemetery and was born Sept. 16, 1879 and died May 17, 1902
