OBITUARIES.
MRS. EVA HEADINGTON
died at her home in Canoe township on , Monday morning, Feb. 24th, 1902, at the age of 42 years and 25 days. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Richardson and was born Jan. 30,1860, in Canoe township, this county, where she has ever since resided. In March, 1879 she married Mr. George Allen Headington, by whom she had ten children, the eldest 22 years and the youngest 3 years of age. All of these, together with a father, mother, seven brothers and sisters and a large circle of sorrowing friends, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife, affectionate mother, filial daughter, and one of the best and truest of friends. To all these she had especially endeared herself by her sunny disposition and her unfailing cheerfulness. Two short months ago Mrs. Headington was apparently the picture of health and happiness, but that insidious, fatal disease, cancer, had got her in its grasp and all that loving care and medical skill could do for her were unavailing. During the last week of her illness her health failed so rapidly that it became evident to her friends the end was fast approaching, and early Monday morning, surrounded by her husband and children, all that was mortal of this brave and uncomplaining woman passed away. Deceased was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Women's Relief Corps, and Royal Neighbors, M.W.A., and this is the first death in the last named. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon from her late home and burial was in the Russell cemetery.
