Geo. Johnson, who lives north of town died last Thursday, after only a short illness caused by blood poisoning. Mr. Johnson was a man well liked by all who knew him. He was an old soldier, and has not been strong since the war. He leaves a large family of children of whom Steen Johnson is one. His wife died a few years and one son died last summer. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the friends in their affliction.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his gravestone shows the name of Guttorm Hovden but was also known as George Johnson. He is buried in Madison Lutheran Cemetery and was born April 29, 1835 and died January 30, 1902.
