Wm. Mueller Found Dead.
Last Thursday afternoon the dead body of Wm. Mueller was found by Maurice Rygg lying on the cellar door of a building in the alley back of the Stiles hotel. Coroner Jewell was notified and an inquest held immediately, Ammi Smith, F. W. Boyd and A. W. Woolly being impanelled as jurors. The examination disclosed nothing that would indicate an unnatural death, Mueller has been a character about town for a number of years. At one time he was a patient at the hospital at Independence and since then he has not been considered quite sound mentally, though he was peaceful and quiet in disposition. Physical deformities as well as his mental condition not infrequently made him the butt of remarks and jokes that were not meant to be unkind but were nevertheless thoughtless.
