Recent Notable Deaths
Mrs. S. P. Leland, wife of the noted lecturer and orator, died at her home in Charles City on the 2d inst. after a long illness. In youth she received a more than usually good education, and in company with her husband enjoyed the benefits of extensive travel at home and abroad, and achieved some celebrity as a vocalist. She died in her 74th{?} year.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows this was Caroline who is buried in Riverside Cemetery and was born March 7, 1840, which would have made her 63 years old.
