The funeral of Mrs. Betsey Snell will be hold in the M. E. church on Tuesday, Betsey Turner was born in Romlass, Seneca Co., N. V , December 31st, 1816, came with her parents to Michigan in 1825; married Florello Potter in 1837. Three sons were born of this union, Edwin E., Harrison W. and Florello J. Her husband died in 1841, after which she moved to Illinois, and was married to Edwin K. Snell in 1854, and settled in Bluffton township, in Winneshiek county, Iowa. In 1874, Mr. Snell died, and she soon made her home in Hesper township, on the farm where she died Aug. 2, 1903. In her last sickness, Mrs. Snell was a great sufferer for seven weeks. Her sons were all present to cheer her for several days prior to her death, as was also her sister, Mrs. Card, from Renwick, this state. She was tenderly cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Florello Potter, with whom she lived for several years. She had a large number of other relatives and neighbors who were kind and attentive during her sickness.
