Obituary.
William Barton Dickinson was born in Jefferson County, N. Y., April 23, 1832, and died August 3, 1903, aged 71 years, 3 mouths and 9 days. In 1853 he settled in Wisconsin where he resided for 11 years. On October 30, 1859, in Wood County, Wis., he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy Plato. They came to Decorah in 1864 and later moved to Freeport where they have since resided. He was a kind husband and father. Naturally of a quiet disposition, the environments of his home suited him best and there he enjoyed himself most. He is survived by his wife and three daughters:—Mrs. Rose Malcolm of Burr Oak, Mrs. Nora Stevens and Miss Cora Dickinson. May divine grace sustain them.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos shows he is buried in Freeport Cemetery.
