The remains of John Barta, who died at his home six miles northwest of this place, were brought to town and interred in the Catholic cemetery Friday. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and relatives of the deceased.

Transcriber’s Note: St. Wenceslaus Cemetery records show his name as Jan and that he was born September 1822 and died June 17, 1903.
