Death of an Aged Lutheran Pastor
St. Ansgar, Towa, April 2.—Rev. O. Waldeland, one of oldest Norwegian Lutheran ministers in northern Iowa, died suddenly Tuesday night. Rev. Waldeland celebrated his 74th birthday Tuesday and was about town several times during the day in apparently good health. He was taken with a severe coughing spell in the evening and died before medical assistance could reach him. Rev. Waldeland has been a minister of the Norwegian Lutheran church in Iowa since 1866.
