To-day occurs the funeral of Miss Appollula Mertz, who died Monday morning after a short illness. The deceased was only 15 years old, but the evening of her life was at hand and she passed away on Monday morning. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the whole community.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery shows her name as Lonie and that she was born in 1887.
