Another Old Settler Dies.
The Fort Atkinson Times reports the death of Moses M. Lockwood one of the old settlers at the Fort. He died Wednesday evening, and was buried on Friday last. He had attained the ripe old age of 84 years.

Moses M Lockwood was born In Dutches Co., N.Y., Sept. 24th. 1819. moved with his parents when a boy to Wayne county N. Y. In 1856 he moved with his wife and three sous to Iowa, locating at Ft. Atkinson where he has resided continuously with the exception of two summers. He died at 10:30 the 11th day of March at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 17 days. He leaves two sons, Lewis and George, their wives, and six grandchildren, to mourn the loss of a loving father. Mr. Lockwood has been a long and patient sufferer and was conscious until the last. He selected the text of Scripture from which he wished his funeral sermon to be preached, also the hymns, his pallbearers and the minister. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church, Rev. Platts of Waucoma officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery on the hill to where they were followed by a large concourse of sorrrowing{sp} relatives and friends.
