Word is received here, this morning of the death of Mr. McMullen of Washington Prairie.

C. McMullen died at his home four miles southwest of Frankville yesterday morning at one o’clock. The funeral will be held Thursday at the Centennial.

After a lingering sickness, Calder McMullen died Tuesday, Feb. 10th. The funeral occurred the following Thursday from the Centennial church. We are not in possession of an obituary.

Calvin{sic} McMullen, who died Feb. 10, from ulceration of the stomach, was born in 1854 in Ohio. Previous to coming to Iowa he lived in Indiana and Wisconsin. His wife’s name was Marietta Allen. The funeral was held last Thursday, the 12th, at Centennial church, Rev Ross officiating.
