Death of Anund Brynildsen,
Anund Brynillsen, the venerable father of Mr. B. Anundsen of the Decorah Posten, died at the home of his son, in this city, yesterday morning, at the ripe old age of 85 years, 6 months 7 days.
Deceased was born in Norway, and retained his residence there until 1872, when he came to live with his son. His wife accompanied him, and passed into rest in 1884. Happily for both, the son was loyal to these worthy parents, and the last years of their lives were spent in ease and comfort. For three months Mr. Brynildsen has been confined to his bed more or less, not suffering any but just gradually drifting toward the end. Sunday he suffered a slight stroke of paralysis which hastened his death. Besides Mr. Anundsen, another son residing in Wisconsin, survives him. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, with services at the house at 2 o’clock, and at the United Lutheran church at 2:30.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery and that he was born June 30 1817 and died January 8, 1903.
