The sad news reached Decorah relatives and friends yesterday morning of the death of Adolph Nelson at his home on Washington Prairie. He passed away at two a.m. after a week or so, illness from influenza.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Nelson of Glenwood, where he was born Dec. 19, 1892. He was united in marriage on Sept. 26, 1918, to Miss Marie Vvamen, who with one child survives, besides his parents, two brothers and three sisters, Norman, Decorah; Clarence, Frieda, Olga, Norah at home. The deceased was a fine young man and well liked by all who knew him, and his death is a sad blow to bereaved relatives, who have the sympathy of all in their loss of their beloved one. The funeral will be held at the home Friday. Rev. Brevick will officiate and interment will be in the Glenwood Norwegian cemetery.Decorah Public Opinion, Feb 25, 1920, p.6
