OBITUARY.
BATEMAN.
Sarah D. Light was born in Barrington Center, Ill., Dec. 26, 1853. In 1865 she moved with her parents to Albion township, Howard county. Here she grew to womanhood and was married to Wm. Bateman in October, 1870. In December, 1907, they made their home in Cresco where they resided at the time of her death which occurred Tuesday morning, July 27th, 1909.
Mrs. Bateman was an earnest Christian and a faithful member of the M. E. church. She leaves her husband, five sons, her aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Light, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held from the M. E. church today conducted by Rev. Gammons. Interment in the Kendallville cemetery.
